Techie Help.
Jan. 6th, 2005 07:24 pmRather amazingly I have been put in charge of the building and presenting of the KreuzDammer website. Which is proving to be a bit of a mission by all accounts.
So there are a couple of programming and web design issues I would like to put to you lot who are probably infinitely better at this type of thing than me.
The main and burning issue is this. I have uploaded all of the files encompassing the website to the server, and KreuzDammer.com is ready for action. Except it's not, and if you type that in it still links to the 'Site coming soon' message. So how do I make it so that when someone goes to the website, the intro .htm file loads?
Secondly, the band photos are badly positioned on the page, with two on top of the third. How do I change the page so that the pictures will all be in a horizontal row which can be scrolled across?
And yet another...
What do you do to make the links to other bands and promoters open in seperate windows instead of within the KD website? The Rome Burns website doesn't look quite so pretty when jammed into a little green window.
Today has been a very stressy day, but now I have acheived a Zenlike calm and FTP bollocks will not enrage me.
Also, we're thinking about organising a minibus down to the Purple Turtle for our gig on the 27th - supporting Saints of Eden. Who's interested in coming and who might make use of a minibus if we got one?
