Treasure hunt for a treasure hunt...
Nov. 14th, 2007 03:43 pmI'm pretty good at finding stuff online, films that people can't remember the title of, toys from the 80s, stuff like that.
However I'm completely stumped at the moment and hope that someone can help. There was a competition in the 80s, probably around 1986-1988, which consisted of a buried treasure and an interactive fiction book. The book was a pretty standard Fighting Fantasy style affair but there were very cryptic clues, and ciphers, and there were several bits which when solved and put together would give directions or map readings to where a treasure was buried.
It's not 'Masquerade' by Kit Williams but was a similar kind of thing. It's driving me nuts, can anyone shed some light for me? I think that a gemstone was involved at some point.
